Objectives
* Discuss statistics related to EMS career longevity and health.
* List public perceptions of our abilities as caregivers and expectations of patient results based on their perceptions.
* Define and give examples of stress and its effects on our family and social interactions.
* Define positive and negative examples of coping with stress as EMS responders.

Topic Highlights
This lecture is a humorous look at our employment as "ambulance drivers," from the perspective of a twelve step group, and will cover the short length of many EMS careers and suggest that job stress might have a causal relationship.

The topic will cover stressors on and off the job and also consider the impact of public perceptions upon our jobs and look at examples of how we can cope positively and negatively with stress created in our work environments.
