Christopher Suprun is a veteran firefighter/paramedic and instructor with fifteen years on the street and nearly a dozen years teaching fire, EMS, and emergency management topics. Suprun is a frequent author on topics related to public safety issues and presents at conferences including local training seminars to international conference events.
Suprun still works as a front line firefighter/paramedic and as Director of Education for Consurgo, LLC. Previously he has been affiliated as an Adjunct Instructor in Emergency Medicine for The George Washington University and as a field instructor for New Mexico Tech's Energetic Materials and Research Center (EMRTC). He has taught on a wide variety of subjects for local public safety agencies and hospitals, Fortune 500 and Big Four tax firms, and foreign governments.
Suprun has also been involved in government helping create, implement, and communicate policy. In addition to his work in the public safety arena, he has worked for two Governors as a Special Assistant, and in communication positions for a United States Senator, network television, and the White House.
He has published two dozen articles in magazines such as Emergency Medical Services, Fire Chief, FireEMS, and JEMS to name a few. These articles have covered topics on airway management, cardiology, EMS education, and terrorism response. Currently, he contributes to the JEMS as the author of Street Level ABCs -- handling issues of airway, breathing, and cardiology for front line providers.
