ACLS - As Easy As Falling Off A Log

Objectives
* Discuss the ACLS algorithms from a perspective of basic, underlying themes.
* Review the ACLS cardiac arrest algorithms.
* Review the treatment of persons with a pulse with either bradycardia or tachycardia.
* Consider appropriate treatment for patients experiencing chest pain or stroke like symptoms.
* Discuss best practices in cardiac care and resuscitation.

Topic Highlights
ACLS is no longer the lecture hall based program that fails more students that it passes, but that doesn't mean the fear doesn't exist among students today. This class will prepare the advaced level provider to understand the algorithms in a much more direct way, simplifying the material into sixty minutes of cardiac discussion.

This conference session will not replace an ACLS initial or refersher provider course, but is designed to make the material easier to understand for those who took the program and may still have difficulty understanding concepts from the course, or for those about to take the course who would like a preparation program.

Audience/Track
This class is for the advanced level provider.
