Topic Highlights
The number one drug in America is not cocaine, not heroin, not even marijuana. No dealer is necesary as simple kitchen cooking pharmacists are
creating their own highs by cooking meth for their own use.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, methamphetamine -- or speed -- is the number one drug of abuse in the United States and EMS responders must face this new addictive nightmare.
EMS responders will learn safety issues related to both patients and scenes involving meth, signs and symptoms of the drugs use during various phases of the patients "high", and treatment measures for the patient suffering from the drug.
Additional information on the new club drugs is also included in this presentation, as are signs and symptoms of their use, and treatment options for these overdose situations.
