Objectives
* Describe the basic components of improvised explosive devices.
* Describe specific scene management issues related to bombing incidents.
* Describe specific issues with bombings and suicide bombings.
* Describe medical issues associated with blast injury.
* List personal protection issues for first responders at bombing and other terror based events.

Topic Highlights
Suicide bombers have ravaged the Middle East for years and have started westward – in Madrid, this year in London and of course on 9/11.  EMS responders will learn about the basics of improvised explosive devices common to suicide terrorists, medical issues associated with bombing incidents, and issues specific to incidents involving suicide bombers.
