Terrorism Topic Presentations

Osama bin Laden, Eric Robert Rudolph, al Quaeda, Eric Harris, and Dylan Klebolt...names that arouse certain feelings of anger, grief, and pain as America considers the terror that has been on our soil for far too long.

These sessions are taught by a front line firefighter who learned about terrorism by responding to the attack on the Pentagon and helped coordinate local activity regarding the Washington area sniper crisis, not from a textbook. Unlike other terrorism instructors who teach what they learned in another classroom, Suprun has met the danger first hand and can relate real life experience in a sensible, street level way.

Topics will cover both operational aspects of responding to the terrorist event and the specific issues that come about from specific acts of terrorism whether it be pipe bombs or plutonium dispersal. Terrorism response is now front and center in fire, EMS, and police training programs and we are prepared to provide this front line education to both public safety educators and students.
